About Me

Good morning everyone!
I'm Ada, I'm from Poland, though Italy occupies a big part in my heart as well.
This year I'm taking a forced break from uni and now I started using it as much as possible - right now doing east-north Europe trip. Turnes out it's not so great with this season - not winter, not autumn, just greyness... though I'm hoping to get the most of it!

CURRENT MISSION

Never to stop. I can't imagine myself now living somewhere for too long, deep in my heart I feel that I have to keep going and always discover new things. You can never stop learning. :)

ABOUT ME

I suppose I'm just a normal, boring girl. But meeting new people is so inspiring, I love to share my stories and listen what others can teach me. I like to talk about history, culture, little differences about nations. Stupid and important things. You never know what hides in the head of your interlocutor.

PHILOSOPHY

Every hard day is a lesson that can improve and enrich your life. Analyse it, make corrections and go on. Don't repeat your mistakes. Appreciate what you have, don't be afraid to love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think meeting local people is the best way to get to know the place. Nobody can tell you better stories than the citizens, noone else can show you places where they spend their time and how they do it. And this is most important in travelling. (And the fact that you don't have to pay for the bed and you can spend it travelling further!)

Meeting new people and sharing experience is also one of my favourite things to do in life, share your stories with me, even the stupid and embarassing ones!

Interests

When I want to relax I cook and read books. I like going for a walk just to have some quiet time alone with my thoughts only. I like to grab a drink and have a nice conversation about everything and nothing. I love playing boardgames, I've met some fantastic people thanks to this. I'm interested in history, on a laic level, but it's really fascinating how past influenced and still does our present, how it makes our opinions about about neighbours, and how it's taught differently in different places. And I really like cats, although they don't always love me as much as I love them -.-

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
Everytime I modify this part I think of different books, especially ones that I've read recently. So now I won't write anything. Just ask me.

Music: recently I listen mostly to jazz music, but I also like some soft rock, blues, trip hop, some psychodelic music sometimes. When I study I listen to classical music or soundtracks, for example to Luther. I like the Kooks, Kodaline, the Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian - these are the bands that I recenly listen a lot to. And Taco Hemingway, as well as Postino.

Movies & TV series: I'm trying to discover some good old movies but it takes me a lot of time. I love Twin Peaks while when I feel down I watch How I met your mother or Friends

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once started a hangout in Warsaw with an Indonesian guy but we never met or talked. In Yogyacarta I accidentaly found him being a friend of our host. World is just too small and the time for us finally came!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing opinions, exchanging knowledge and passions - I think that makes us better humans. Knowledge is the weapon and experience is a way to make it powerful and safe. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for you but I'm not very good in Polish cusine, so anything else you want. I love sharing knowledge of my country, it's history, traditions culture and people. I can tell you about my life, travels and medicine.
