Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To love and respect those around us, to taste what this sweet life has to offer.
ABOUT ME
I'm a graduate student living in Jerusalem, but am originally from Lafayette, Louisiana: heart of the Cajun Country. I'm a bit of a procrastinator, and so am finally joining couchsurfing after having this on my to-do list for about a year. My boyfriend and I love to travel (and actucally met doing so) and have heard about many wonderful couch surfing encounters. My boyfriend, Elad, is from southern Israel. We met at a cheesy dance bar in Cuzco, Peru, where I was studying and he was traveling. We never thought one night of reggaeton would bring him to Texas, and now me to Israel. But alas, love is a powerful force!
PHILOSOPHY
Love First.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surf and Host, Surf and Host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have only hosted one time! But it was lovely! Hope to surf a bit soon..headed to Italy.
Interests
I love the things many love: food, friends, family, culture, music, travel... in no specific order. In the past few years, I've really grown to love cooking, especially for friends and especially with my boyfriend. School is currently a huge part of my life, and I'm in the midst of trying to envision my dream job. I also try and live an active and healthy lifestyle, going to yoga and trying to make myself ride a bike more and more. My boyfriend and I love hiking, even though I'm a stroller and he's a runner...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moments that left me awestruck..... well, seeing the birth of my nephew was pretty amazing, but perhaps that's too much information. The other moment that immediately jumps to my mind was this one night in the hot texas summer when I sat on my car for hours watching the most magnificent heat-lightening storm. There was barely any break between bolts.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've got a few skills in the kitchen that I'm always eager to share :) Also have pretty good knowledge about the US national park system, as well as many hiking opportunities in Israel. Ask away if you're interested in either!
