About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am taking a three month trip by myself - biking, camping, and volunteering, to rejuvenate and re-invent myself after 2 years of direct service/social justice work in Philly.

ABOUT ME

I work alot, but I also know of cool things in philly, like the best queer dance parties and places to go for excellent people watching, south philly vietnamese food, and political puppet shows (if you are in to that kind of thing). I am hoping not to work so much when I get back to philly. I want to write stories while I am traveling!

PHILOSOPHY

you will never be happy "later." either you figure out how to be happy now, or you do not.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

new to couch surfing - I want to be a connection for people visiting philly as well as be able to connect to radical/artistic/adventurous people in other countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

haven't done this. but i have opened my house up to travelers that i met other ways. i have had some very memorable, positive experiences that way.

Interests

I am interested in so many many things, social justice and environmental justice are two - i have worked for the past two years at a rape crisis center and want to do advocacy work in this area when i return to philly. also interested in philosophy, science, history, art, !!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived cancer. And... I climbed Enchanted Rock, outside of Austin, Texas, on my 24th birthday at 5:30 am and stood on the top between the little pools where strange, beautiful grasses and rare species of lichens grow, and watched the sun come up.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to speak with a texas accent, which may come in handy some day!
