About Me

Hey there, I'm Adam.

I grew up in Miami, FL in the United States, where I lived for the first 17 years of my life. I've been living in Europe for the last 6 years, beginning in Salzburg and currently studying Political Sciences in Berlin. Moving from the States to Europe was the best decision I made in my entire life, completely changing my worldviews and learning to see life in a completely different light, which happens when you live a full year together with a Russian and Moldovan).

I've been speaking German for around eight years and Russian for around six. I'm crazy passionate about languages and other cultures, my goal is to eventually learn how to say "how are you" in every national language. A huge part of this comes from the genuine joy I get from languages and int. relations, but I also see it as a responsibility, considering the role my country plays on the international scene, and how isolated we are in an increasingly connected world. It's an issue that concerns me a lot, and my dream is to help to solve this and connect cultures.

I'm currently working at AIESEC, an international youth organization that creates and sends people on volunteer projects abroad, while developing teamwork and leadership skills in its local committees; please ask me about it!

For me, nothing's better than discussing both everything and nothing at the same time over a nice, warm cup of coffee. I love to lift weights and am incredibly good at pretending to know how to partner dance! Music has also been a huge part of my life, if you have a guitar, I'll insist on doing a jam session. Looking forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I go on Couchsurfing when I know that I know nothing about the country I'm visiting. I don't want to use you as just a place to sleep, and my best Couchsurfing experiences have been where I really got to know the person I'm staying with. I also want it to be a mutual exchange, that we've had a fun and, always, memorable experience together.
