Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have lost count of the number of times I have experienced selfless acts of generosity from locals while travelling. Returning the favour.

Interests

I love to surf. We have a few spare boards and I'm happy to teach... if there are any waves ;)

Live music! Can't put down my guitars. Just don't ask me to sing. Not that I can't. Just can't do both at once!!

Hanging with friends.

Off-road adventures to find hidden gems, like camping on beautiful secluded white sandy beaches, or a majestic waterfall in the outback!

Good coffee.

Having a good (great) night out. We inevitably have people back to ours if we go out to Divers. It's close and who wants to stop having fun at 11pm?

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I am into most genres - Different tunes for different settings. Can't go past Beautiful Girls, Ben Howard, Flume, Milky Chance, Chili Peppers, Led Zep etc

Movies - Comedy, action, romcom (don't tell anyone!)

Books - Non fiction and autobios. I recently read 'The Kite Runner' - My favourite was 'Fate is the Hunter.'

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Postman Pat in the Outback. I use to fly mail runs to remote Stations and in between the busy sectors, flying in to challenging short dirt/grass/muddy airstrips, find time have a chat and cup of tea with the Cowboys/girls. It's an interesting life out there!

Swimming with Whale Sharks was pretty awesome too!
