Overview
About Me
I’m a young professional, age 24, originally from Minnesota. I just moved to Sacramento for a new job in immigration law! I don't have housing until Sunday 9/30 and I'm hoping to find a place to stay until then.
Some things I love include huskies, red onions, red curry, red wine, and friends’ laughter. Least favorite things include handbell choirs, the hospitality tuck on beds, and mayo/ranch.
I love travel and meeting other travelers. I have seen firsthand how travel can change a person's attitude, beliefs, and outlook on life; it is such an incredible thing! Queer, adventurous, sociable, and fun-loving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am hoping to be exposed to new experiences and new people. It would be great to meet some friends in Sacramento and learn more about my new city; I am very excited to meet people from this diverse and vibrant community!
Interests
I love to cook and bake, especially ethnic dishes. I'm trying to learn Arabic and French, but I'm not that good... yet! I have lived in Egypt and Lebanon where I was able to use both languages, though. Excited to explore hiking trails nearby. Just finished my first triathlon and planning to do another next year. I play violin also.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to Lebanon with no housing or job and made it work for a summer! I ended up bartending at a gay bar during Ramadan to pay the bills. I also spent time that summer studying Arabic privately, teaching English to Syrian refugees, and traveling the country. Lebanon is incredible!
