Hi everyone, my name is Adam and I am a 22 year old university student from Wales. Travelling is all about the people you meet and the experiences you share with others which is why I joined this site. I'm a proud Welshman and I love anything related to sport and the outdoors. I study journalism at University and I write travel articles for British magazines and newspapers. I don't have any references because I can't host people in my uni house! But I would love to stay with you and start gaining some good references.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was late to couchsurfing and joined after a friend recommended it because he was able to meet amazing hosts and other travellers. Also, in October I am retracing my great grandfather's escape across Europe after he got shot down in World War Two. My great grandfather relied on the kindness of strangers in Annecy, Toulouse, Girona, Barcelona, Madrid and Gibraltar as he escaped across Europe. By using couchsurfing I will also be relying on the kindness of strangers. I am writing an article about it for Telegraph newspaper.
