Hi there, my name is Adam and I'm from Hessen in Germany. I've been here in New Zealand since November 2018, to work, travel and meet new people. I have already been to New Zealand on a short family holiday. We were visiting my brother in Decemer 2016, who had already spent a few months here working and travelling around. His stories of the people he met and the things he did got me curious, so I decided to see for myself what it's all about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I very much enjoy meeting new people from different countries and cultures and exchanging experiences and tips about New Zealand. In general, I travel around quite a bit. In my opinion, doing new things and seeing some nice scenery, partaking in events etc. is most fun as a shared experience with other people. That's why I'm keen to meet others and maybe even make some new friends along the way!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Totally by chance, I picked up two hitchhikers at the top of the West Coast of New Zealand. We then continued to travel together for two weeks, after wich we sadly seperated in Queenstown recently. All three of us became great friends and I'm already looking forward to meeting them again at home in Europe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've been told I'm a nice person, with a good personality and a friendly smile. Cooking is one of my guilty pleasures so I'm happy to help out with any meals. Furthermore, hearing fun stories from other people and also sharing my own is something I very much enjoy.
