Overview
About Me
Just a friendly Canadian travelling abroad. I joined couchsurfer because I heard it was a great way to get to know the locals. Hoping to be able to host after my travels are done. Back home I was a music promoter and builder by day. I like to consider myself extremely laid back and easy going. I'm always excited to learn about people and the country I'm staying in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet the real people of the countries I visit rather than spend time in tourist traps.
Interests
I have played guitar for the last 10 years but have become much more casual over the past few years. I am an avid hiker. Back home it was quite regular to go for hikes on the weekend as well as kayaking. I used to be a certified lifeguard and water safety instructor and have felt home in the water for as long as I can remember.
Music, Movies, and Books
Rock, oldies, classic rock, jazz, blues, pop, metal etc. Huge SciFi geek. Also love pretty much any movie that's not a romance. Unfortunately I have not read many books, however I read comics. I'm also currently reading the teachings of Buddha.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dawn on an isolated lake in Canada. The sound of a loon in the distance, the water so still its a mirror. One of my greatest memories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some basic guitar skills as well swimming exercises. I am enthusiastic about learning anything.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have an array of basic trades skills as well as landscaping. I can cook as well so if you need a hand in the kitchen I'm there. I can also offer good conversation.
