About Me

Hello world! A little about me.. I am from a small town on a beautiful lake in south central British Columbia, Canada. My childhood was spent mainly outdoors running through forests with a plastic sword in my own awesome imagination land. Little did I know then that my sense of adventure and imagination would take me traveling around the world. Sports were a huge part of my life until I turned 18. I am still very active now, although I work too much to play any competetive sports. My late teens and early twenties consisted of drinking with friends, exploring my love of dancing through the cities, towns, and forests of Western Canada, working to advance my knowledge and achieve my goal of Journeyman Electrician and, of course, searching for love. I have completed most of my initial 5 year goals and am very pleased with my gained confidence along the way. Along my path I have realized that setting goals are important but being open to new adventures, ideas, and experiences is how I need to live my life. I am now in the world exploration portion of my life, thanks to years of hard work setting up my career and paying off my debts back home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to couch surfing by a few travelers within the last month. I have put a lot of thought into my decision to join couch surfing. I am extremely excited at the opportunity to stay with local families. Couch surfing allows a traveler to be introduced to local cuisine and experiences off the tourists trail. As I am always asking around to find hidden gem restaurants and aventures off the beaten path. I can imagine myself learning so much more about each community I stay in. I am on a path of adventure. Couch surfing just makes so much sense for me that I am shocked I havent heard about or joined in the community years ago!

Interests

I enjoy spending time meeting new people and I absolutely love sharing stories. I feel very comfortable traveling alone, as well as with groups of people from all over the world. When at home, I spend a lot fo time watching all kinds of documentaries. While on the raod, I enjoy reading novels of immense imagination and adventure. Music plays a big part in my life. The music I listen to gradually changes as I get older and move into who I am to be. The instrument of choice for me is a djembe drum or even an upside down bowl or garbage can lid if I must. I love to keep the beat. My passions are now moving towards outdoor adventures and away from competetive sports. I live in an area where outdoor sports are huge and I will take full advnatgae of the mountains and lakes in the coming years. As well as on my worldy travels. I also enjoy Yoga and an occasional gym workout. Oh and I love to cook!!! I rarely go out for supper at home and even on the road I plan my accomodations around a healthy, well equipped kitchen. My mother is a huge influence in my life and I thank her for my knowledge of food, cooking, and running a household.
