About Me

I'm an English teacher with a passion for tea and the outdoors who has taught abroad for a couple of years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have lived in Vietnam for two years and one thing I loved about their culture is the sense of community. Something that has been lost in many places in my native England. People are important. Be they friends, family or even strangers.

I think Couchsurfing is a wonderful way to meet lovely people and learn more about a new place than you ever could in a hotel.

Interests

I live in Cumbria which is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful places in the world. I have always loved the outdoors and anything to do with it! Camping, hiking and swimming. Being outside in nature is important for me and makes me feel at peace.

My favourite evening would be a night in with friends, watching movies or playing board games with a nice beer and a lot of laughter.

I'm also very interested in art and I try my best to improve with my sketching and drawing whenever I can. Although i'm often frustrated with what I produce. I guess that is part of the challenge!
