Music, Movies, and Books
Musica: House, Salsa, Trap, Garage, D & B, Post-punk, Soul
Movies: Seven Samurai, anything studio Ghibli, a lot of stuff really, but I am lacking in my movie watching.
Books: I love reading and read all kinds of things, but my favorite are on political subjects, from communist theory to the history of the peoples struggle. Also a good sci fi will get me right.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Here in New Orleans, I work with various political organizations that help shape the landscape of a very black city to protect the residents from white supremacy and policing. Also, we have a lot of rally’s to bring peoples attentions to the things happening in the world that are perpetuated by this evil government.
During my time in Mexico, I volunteered at an Indigenous coop where I helped cultivate/upkeep the land. It was in San Lorenzo, Oaxaca and it was a beautiful time that allowed me some solitude as well as really Mexican country vibezz.
Also, when I was in Colombia, I worked for a Shaman in Cocorná where I learned about being with the land and also plant medicines.
Teach, Learn, Share
I study english at UNO but I love a variety of topics and love learning about things I don’t know. Also, I love to make curry! Latin food (especially Panamanian) is my favorite to cook thiugh
