Hi! I'm Adam and I am an accountant by trade, but have spent the past year teaching ESL in Korea. I have enjoyed Korea so much (and being in such close proximity to other Asian countries) that I have decided to spend at least another year teaching here. I will be living in Bucheon (30-45 minutes from central Seoul) and I hope to host some travellers during my time here!

I have visited over 40 countries and hope to hit 50 by the time I'm 30! I absolutely love Europe and hope to go back one day and travel it some more!

Some of my goals going forward are to learn another language (most likely German, Russian or Korean) and perhaps master my French as I have a pretty solid base. I love travelling in order to learn about and experiencing other cultures. I enjoy trying the local cuisines, learning new perspectives on the world and experiencing new environments. I feel the most rewarding aspect of travel is the people you meet along the way.

I am a very sociable person who loves sharing stories and experiences with others. I enjoy making others laugh and just having a good time whether it be good conversation over coffee or a crazy night out on the town. I am a bit of a stereotypical Canadian, and I do say "eh" a lot. :P

As I mentioned I love meeting people, especially locals and those with different backgrounds from my own. It helps to have someone who knows the city as well and could make honest recommendations and suggest hidden gems around the city/ country.

Interessen

Travelling! As is the default for most of us on here :). I'm a huge hockey fan (Go Sens Go!). I enjoy playing tennis, vball, soccer, squash. Video games, movies, TV, history, learning fun facts, trying new foods, learning about other cultures, etc, etc. I also enjoy drinking beer and going out on weekends :P.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music tastes are mostly pop culture. I like hip hop and EDM, but I don't really keep up to date with latest bands and singers so I mostly just end up listening to the radio.

I'm a huge movie buff who watches everything. Best comedy is Zoolander, action movie is The Raid 2 and drama is probably Blood Diamond cause I've watched it multiple times. Not a fan of horror movies though.

Dont read many books. Mostly articles. Favourite book growing up was The Hobbit

I have done lots of interesting things, but if I have to name something specific, I guess it would be having eaten at the number one restaurant in the world (Noma 2014) which was a pretty cool experience and not something many people have done.
