My name is Adam and If you care about nationality, I came from mountain village in Czechia. Anyway, I regard myself as global citizen and live like one.
I am an engineer, but prefer the title technician. I was pretty unhappy working on large projects in London, lots of inefficiency and wasting. Now I travel around the world and work on sustainable projects for individuals - it's more fun that way and much more satisfying.
Right now I am on a Viking tour - visiting Iceland, Britain and Scandinavia, one of the places I was fascinated with as kid.
*(I know, Vikings had much wider area of effect, but I don't want to turn this into history lesson)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to meet locals, or other travelers willing to share their time, explore together, or just chat over glass of something nice.

I'm easy going person, and although I can explore new places on my own, sometimes is better to have somebody local who knows where to go. Or fellow traveler to get lost together.
As you may know, travelling can get lonely at times and having somebody to chat with can be luxury. So it's nice to meet somebody friendly and intelligent just to chat.

I love to laugh, the best comedians are: G. Carlin, B. Burr, Luis C. K.
Top bands: it depends on my mood a lot, but all time favourites are Marilyn Manson, SlipKnot, NIN, Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Massive Attack and old school rock'n'roll.
Culture and art? I appreciate beauty a lot in many of its forms - whether it's Banksy, Dali or Bosh. But it must say something, it has to have courage. I like art with balls, that makes a statement.
Yeah, I also like to read a lot. Biographies and quality fiction is my cup of tea, but there's just not enough days in week to read it all...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To me, the one amazing thing is to live the day to its fullest. When today surpass yesterday, and tomorrow srpass today, that's when things are going pretty amazing.
