About Me

Hi! My name's Adam. Sorry I can't accept guests right now--I'm traveling in Asia and won't be home for a while!

Let's see...I used to work for a start up in Silicon Valley but I decided I valued my soul more than money and gave it up for teaching. I taught English in Seoul for a year and when my contract ended I began traveling. I've been traveling for 7 months now. No regrets.

I love writing and hope one day to make this my career. I finished a screenplay recently. We'll see where that goes. Ironically, I love writing, but I never know what to write in these online bios...

I like to see cool stuff, try new things, eat spicy food, pet dogs, be outside/go hiking, drink beer, drink coffee, and attend concerts. Not in that order usually. And usually I take photos along the way--if they're any good is up for debate. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like all sorts of music (but never got into country), but my favorites are punk, hardcore, and hip-hop.

Movies: Probably weird stuff. My favorites are The Great Beauty, anything Wes Anderson, Adaptation, Superbad, Pulp Fiction, and Chinatown.

Books: I'm a bookworm. Favorite authors are Junot Diaz, Dave Eggers, Haruki Murakami, David Foster Wallace, and Jonathan Franzen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started and ran a clothing company for about 5 years. It was sold in 22 countries and allowed me to work with and meet a lot of my favorite bands. Sometimes we did charity events and raised more than 500 dollars for hungry kids. That was neat.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my writing/creative work with you. Maybe I can help you this way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a decent cook, so I can help with meals. We can have philosophical chats. I can write a blog for you. Or a poem. Or general conversation over coffee or drinks. I can do your dishes, play with your dog.

I want to contribute, just let me know how I can help!
