I grew up in Canadian suburbia where you could always find a game of road hockey down the street. Adventures were always found outside with the neighbourhood kids where ever you could reach on your bike and make it home for dinner.

I'm a laid back guy who's always up for an adventure off the beaten path or where ever the world takes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While on a cycling trip through the UK and Ireland, I met up with some guys who were doing the same thing. Having heard of the amazing people they have met through couchsurfing I decided this is the best way to travel and see the true country instead of the sugar coated touristic side.

Interests

When relaxing at home after a long day at work there is nothing more calming than sitting back with your feet up, the tunes on, and a cold beer at your side. Weekends see me catching up with the latest video game speedrunning, or practicing the bass guitar for the next jam session with friends.

To keep active I enjoy a good game of soccer with the local recreational league and have recently started cycling with a group of enthusiasts on Saturday morning rides.

Growing up in Ontario, I always enjoyed going to the family cottage in the summer. Having moved to British Columbia for work recently, I have rekindled my outdoor enthusiasm by taking up fishing and hiking.

Since having my own place, I enjoy looking up new recipies to try out. Nothing beats frying up some breakfast on the weekend with a pot of coffee brewing after a night out.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any music with a good guitar riff. Top 5 include, Baba O'Reily, Comfortably Numb, L.A. Woman, Foreplay/Longtime, and Xanadu in no order. Recently been digging a variety of different sounds ranging from Goldfish to The meters and even a little Eric Church.

Movies are a more frequent pastime for me. I enjoy anything with a good hook and even campy B movies like Army of Darkness.

My usual book preference is science fiction with Dune being an all time favourite. However I do enjoy well written, witty novels like the Discworld series or great satires like Catch 22.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm lucky enough to have a job and live in a place where any day can lead to an amazing experience. The amazing thing I've done is land this job which allows me to see and do great things daily.
