Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here because I’m a traveler, not just a tourist. Couchsurfing allows me to connect directly with the locals of a place, giving me the chance to truly understand and experience it through their eyes.

For me, it’s about listening to their stories, sharing in their lives, and discovering the hidden gems that no guidebook or Google map can show. Exploring a place with someone who knows it inside out makes the journey so much more meaningful and authentic. That’s what I value most about this platform.

When I travel, I love diving deep into the essence of a place. I’m curious about its weather patterns, local economy, and the fruits and vegetables that flourish there. I enjoy learning about the types of employment, traditions, and cultural practices that define a community.

Food is a big part of my journey—I’m always excited to explore traditional dishes, the spices they grow and use, and how they bring their flavors to life. I love old Hindi songs for their depth and meaningful lyrics, and Malayalam and Tamil songs for their incredible vibe. When it comes to movies, I enjoy Hollywood sci-fi and action, gripping Malayalam thrillers, Bollywood comedies, and occasionally the over dramatic South Indian films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once jumped (or dived) off a moving boat into the delta (estuary)—and no, it wasn’t a public boat it was our own boat.

I can teach you unique languages like Kodava and Malabari—languages you won’t easily find resources for online! If you’re interested, I can also teach you how to play hockey, a sport I’m passionate about.
