Last year in May, I finally graduated from university. Two days after my graduation ceremony, though, I took off for a three month trip to Southeast Asia and then moved to Kaifeng in Henan Province, China to teach English. There were not so many English speakers in the city so I was forced to learn some survival Chinese on my own. After completing my teaching contract in Kaifeng, I decided I wanted to continue learning Chinese. So here I am in Taipei studying Chinese at NTNU.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally signed up for couchsurfing out of curiosity. Then, later, I wanted to use it during my trip to SE Asia but, instead, I just stayed at hostels. I hope I'll finally have the opportunity to use couch surfing while traveling around other parts of Taiwan during my stay here. I'd like to get to know people all around the country.

Interests

Lately, I've been really interested in hiking and biking, both of which are incredibly easy to do here. I take a bike every time I need to go anywhere in the city. Taiwan has some really amazing trails so I try to go hiking every other weekend or so. Beyond that, my interests are pretty normal. I spend a lot of time reviewing Chinese, reading books, or just going out with friends.
