About Me
Venturing through the diverse landscapes of my journey, I initially embarked on the road to becoming a modern day Hippocrates – or so I thought. Armed with my Biomedical Sciences and Chemistry degree, and countless of hours volunteering in hospitals, I was ready to apply to schools through the wonderful world of AMCAS. That is, until a little introspection made me realize the sight of blood and bodily fluids left me looking paler than a lab rat in an experiment gone awry, and working with bodily fluids is kind of a prerequisite they don’t explicitly list on medical school webpages.
With my medical dreams swiftly defibrillated, I found myself in the rice fields of Japan, a small town in Tochigi-ken where the complexities of human connection proved to be the most intriguing equation of all as I was one of two foreign English speakers in my little city. As part of the JET program, I immersed myself in local, grassroots educational interchange and discovered the beauty of stories woven through cultural nuances, nomihodai and shared laughter.
Fast forward to a master's degree in accounting – a leap from test tubes to balance sheets, and my career had more pivot points than a geometry lesson. Recent times brought an unexpected job transition, reminding me that life's plot twists are as unpredictable as my recent layoff which leads me here hoping to take some time and find my next adventure.
But amidst the twists, turns, and tangled tales, my love for photography emerged as a constant companion. My camera, my trusty accomplice, helps me document the kaleidoscope of life's moments – from candid smiles to streets less traveled, and everything in between. So here's to weaving new stories, sharing laughter, and freezing time through the lens. Let's navigate the entropy of these unwritten chapters together .
