Insta: @AdamTahero I am a big big traveller, visited 76 countries now! I have just been to the other side of the world throughout the pandemic. What was meant to be a few months' holiday in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand led me to 3 years abroad amidst the pandemic. I got stuck in New Zealand for over 2 years, and it changed my life for the good! After 3 years away, I am making my way back home and excited to see Europe and places in the UK again after such a long time abroad. I have travelled to 74 countries now!

I love travelling beyond anything, and the best part of it for me is meeting all the amazing people along the journey! I have so many crazy stories to share and love listening to others! I am pretty chilled and laid back and spontaneous. I really just enjoy having a good time, whether alone or with others, and I can be pretty independent but equally always up for sharing good times and tagging along with people with good energy!

Before my crazy travels, I graduated in Statistics and Information Systems and worked in marketing and management at my previous university. My main job was outreach and helping disadvantaged children fulfil their potential, e.g., those with disabilities, lower income backgrounds, and we help them consider going to university. I get so excited when I travel and meet new people, and I feel I can get along with people from all walks of life. Please ask for more!

Always happy to help out in anyway I can, love animals too, so if you have any that's always a bonus, especially cats and I can look after them or take them for a walk if needed!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

To meet fun new people and see some of the normal less touristy places. When I go to countries, I like exploring what the day to day life is. I am a fun social person who loves meeting new people and would be happy to take my host places they may want to see too and make the experience mutually benefiting.

One of the best happiest experiences I've had was a girl from Argentina who visited via Couchsurfing, and I couldn't host her, but I showed around, got her to meet my friends at a bbq. And now she has stayed in London and is in my circle of friends and married to one of my best friends. I like to offer a local experience and always enjoy the same too wherever I go!

Travelling has made me grow as an individual, and I can't express in words how magical I think it is learning and meeting people from the world. This community feels like my second home!

Intereses

I am big into sports, and having a fun time meeting new people! I love adventures, I enjoy the normal sports such as football, rugby, tennis, American football. I also enjoy the more extreme sports such as kayaking, hiking, Sailing (which I do in River Thames London!) Life is too short to be held back and I just enjoy making the most out of it.

I'm big into photography and now have a drone. Happy to shoot any photos or videos of you or your place or offer help with creating some digital content!

I give my all to anything I do and have so many passions to list on paper, I am a much better talker! My Instagram is AdamTahero if it's easier to connect there!

Música, películas y libros

There are too many to list, I am into all kinds of music as long as it has a good beat and meaning to it! I enjoy a range of types of movies and like to get recommendations from others. I enjoy getting a gaming fix, too, especially when on my travels! I like to read regularly too to unwind!

Too hard to think of one, but I would say arriving and surviving in NZ during the pandemic with just 10 dollars after my bank card had got stolen in AustraliaI. Hitchiking the whole country and hiking all around it!

A few crazy dangerous near life death stories and helicopters! That's for another time to share :)

Hitchhiked a ride in NZ and ended up flying a plane! True story ;) And even better was hitchhiking weeks before the pandemic in NZ aiming for a just an hour ride, but that one hour turned into 4.5 months travelling/lockdown! With one of the best possible friends I've ever made on my trips!

Before that period , I climbed the third largest active volcano in the world, Teide Tenerife, or maybe doing a 5 day 150km through Vienna to the Alps camping in the winter snow I love a challenge and love travelling and began travelling alone at the age of 14. After persuading my parents, I'd be safe!

Aside from travelling, perhaps been a ball boy for Wimbledon tennis, where I got to talk to Roger Federer!

I think we all have something in common on this site. Our desire to learn from people of other cultures and also our desire to travel. I would say that I endeavour to learn as much about the world has to offer and share my own culture wherever I go. I'm happy to share about my life and eager to learn about others. Happy to help with English practise. Always up for little trips around local areas or further away! However, I must warn you that if you have a bad sense of direction, we are gonna get lost a lot! (Unless you like getting lost, which I do - sometimes!)

A place to stay in return anytime, I live in Wimbledon London which is near the Tennis Grand Slam Championship. I can share experiences, adventures and hopefully lots of fun! Always happy to help out in anyway, whether it be giving advice, helping out around the home, helping with kids, helping with English practise or looking after your animals :)
