About Me

Hey there,

I'm a third year student of IR and frequent traveller; I'm mostly here for meetups and socials, but I would also love to host when I can

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm mostly in Wales but I do travel a great deal for academic purposes. If I happen to run into anybody on the way, be they in Nouakchott or Beijing, then it's a pleasant bonus.

I think the opportunity to meet peoples, of a diverse character, is probably the best treasure that this community can offer.

Interests

I'm that boring person who'd rather pay attention to the road than the building which stands next to it. It sounds silly, especially to anybody who prefers a real jungle to the urban one, but there is an incredible amount of beauty to the goings-on of a city, in understanding how people can get from place to place, and the hidden rules which govern them.

I do however also love architecture, in exploring and understanding space, and seeing how architects and designers have manipulated them to create extraordinary little pockets of bounded weirdness.

In terms of interests that don't involve cracking open a tome or city map; I have to say that I enjoy hiking, cinema, and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

TV -

House of Cards
Narcos

Music -

I mostly tune into NPR when I am on the road; however, I love a bit of alternative rock.

- Books

Most of my reading is academic, but I have come to enjoy it. Right now, it's centred around moral and political philosophy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd like to say that I braved my way through a minefield, but that would be a half truth; I was shitting bricks the whole way through it.
