Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm Adam, currently completing my master’s degree in International Development at Palacký University in the Czech Republic. Right now, I’m in Tanzania on an internship with an NGO, working directly with local communities on development projects. I'll be here until November 25th, and this experience has truly deepened my passion for sustainable development and cultural exchange.
As I finish this internship and prepare to complete my degree, I'm looking forward to combining my love for travel with impactful work in my field. I'm excited to connect with others who share a similar spirit of exploration and learning, and I value genuine connections and open-minded conversations.
Looking forward to meeting like-minded people through Couchsurfing, discovering new places, and sharing stories!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe that travel is about connecting with people and truly experiencing the places I visit. For me, it’s not just about seeing new sights but sharing moments, learning from others, and creating memories with people who have different stories and perspectives.
Interests
I’m a big fan of the outdoors, and hiking – especially in the mountains – is one of my favorite ways to spend time. Whether it's a challenging trail or a peaceful walk, being in nature always recharges me. I also have a deep love for music; I play the guitar and enjoy anything related to music, from live concerts to discovering new artists.
Creativity is another part of my life – I enjoy capturing moments through photography and occasionally painting, which helps me unwind and express myself. Staying active is important to me, so I love sports and am always open to trying new activities, whether it's something adventurous or just a fun new experience.
I’m a pretty easygoing person and usually up for any idea. I believe life is best enjoyed when we’re open to spontaneous adventures and new experiences. Looking forward to connecting with others who share a similar passion for life and exploration!
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge music fan and have a pretty open mind when it comes to genres. I don’t like when people judge music based on style – for me, there’s something good in every genre. I grew up listening to the classics from the '60s, but my taste ranges from rap to folk, with The Lumineers being a favorite band, and even electronic music like DnB.
When it comes to movies, I'm an avid fan who loves keeping up with the latest releases and trends in the film world. I know a lot about recent movie history and enjoy exploring different styles and genres. Books aren’t my main focus, but I do read development-related works and some classics. I've enjoyed stories like The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, The Witcher, and The Alchemist.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would say it's right now, spending three-months alone directing the project in Tanzania.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d be happy to teach some guitar basics, share a few songs, or even have a jam session! I’m also open to talking about development issues and discussing ideas around global challenges – it's something I’m passionate about and always enjoy exploring with others.
On the learning side, I’m excited to dive into anything cultural – whether it’s traditions, food, or a unique perspective on life. I believe that everyone has something to teach, and I’m always eager to learn from others’ experiences and backgrounds. Looking forward to the exchange!
