About Me

I feel more like a global citizen than a citizen of Indonesia. I've lived in many different places growing up - Jakarta, Tokyo, Jubail, Doha, Milan, Lyon and now Leuven - and that really opened my eyes to the different cultures that exist around the world. Moving around has made me more open and respectful to others. I believe that we are one of the same ancestor, we just need to reacquaint ourselves with each other. We can do that by travelling and immersing ourselves in other's perspectives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and network, especially those with interesting stories. I love to talk and vibe!

Interests

I'm studying to be an engineer, but apparently I love anything that has nothing to do with engineering.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite book - Animal Farm, 1984, The Alchemist

Favorite music - I'm pretty eclectic, but I tend to go for old grandpa music and some HipHop. Definitely vibe to Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, J. Cole, Chance the Rapper, A$ap, etc.. )

Favorite movies - Can't say, but I only watch movies about a 7.0 rating on IMDb.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if its enough to be defined as amazing but something I'm most proud of is successfully summiting Mount Rinjani in Lombok, Indonesia.

I hiked solo from Braemar to Aviemore, Scotland via Lairig Ghru in a day, summiting Ben Nevis (highest peak in the UK). So basically 46+ kilometers up and down the Cairngorms in one day with 4 days worth of clothes (stupidest thing Ive done), no tent, no GPS and no sleeping bag. I left Braemar at 3AM and got to Aviemore at 11PM. Some say this is amazing, some say its foolish, but I say I made it.

Teach, Learn, Share

You can exploit the knowledge I have on: playing the guitar, playing the bass, cooking and photography. I usually cook or do a photoshoot of the people who host me, if they want.
