ABOUT ME
Currently teaching in Ottawa for the winter of 2014. I've lived here for the better part of a long time :), although I'm originally from southern Ontario. I have lived and worked abroad in Asia and Europe, and thus I am very adaptable and love exploring the world.
I'm extremely laid back. Really, not much bothers me. I'm generally pretty active with running and being outdoors. I've traveled extensively and I want to host people with whom I can shared travel stories. If you're cool, all the better :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I went to CS pub nights in Paris for a while. There is also a small scene here in OT which I'm semi-active in. I'll host providing I'm not too busy and you buy me a beer :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted before in South Korea. Not much however due to limited visitors to SK. I've had nothing but good experiences. A wonderful girl in Paris saved my ass big time when I was surfing there. You know who you are :)

Music, Movies, and Books
What dumb thing to ask on CS. You know how long it would take to write all that out???!? How about asking, "What's the last movie/album/book you watched/baught/read": um.. The Hurt Locker/Yeasayer - Odd Blood/Entre Les Murs by François Bégaudeau
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done some truly incredible things in my 26 years of life. I’ve traversed the longest canopy bridge in the world in the world’s oldest rainforest in Malaysia, fired an AK-47 along the Mekong Delta in Vietnam, hitch hiked my way from the English Channel to Scotland, travelled just under 6000m up to base camp on Mt Everest, stayed with various nomadic families in their yurts in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia, seen the contrast of the beaches of Normandy and the concentration camps in Auschwitz in one week, spent my 25th birthday as an extra in a Bollywood film in Mumbia, gone cliff jumping along the Dalmation Coast in Croatia, seen the sun set on the Taj Mahal in India, rode a camel into the Great Thar Desert and slept under the open stars on a sand dune near Pakistan, come close to serious harm with the Kazakh army deep in the steppe of Kazakhstan, rode a motorbike from Kathmandu to the Tibetan boarder with nothing more than a tent and some petrol, had a beer and piggy backed a beautiful girl along the Great Wall in China, driven 200km/h on the German autobahn, hiked the Rocky Mountains in Western Canada, taken a slow boat into Cambodia and watched the sun rise on Angkor Watt, personally seen the corpses of Ho Chi Minh, Lenin, and Mao, stepped foot into North Korean territory, been fortunate enough to influence other people’s children in a classroom for two years, felt love, been loved, and spent 3 weeks sleeping and writing in the same writers studio where Ernest Hemmingway lived in Paris. However, I still have not seen any of the Godfather movies, cannot do a cartwheel or flip underwater, and get incredible anxiety during turbulence in flight.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach - Well, I could teach you English.
Learn - Well, I'm just learning to lift the toilet seat?
