Sobre mí

MISSION:
Making connections, exploring, experiencing.

MY STORY:
Exploring, experiencing. One strange way of doing these is doing chemical research. I hope it can be my permanent job one day. But that goal stays mostly in the lab and besides I am pretty much a normal person, being interested in almost everything and having an open mind. I grew up in a beautiful neighborhood of a fair size town in Hungary, which I think was one of the best places to be a kid. Being adventurous, I spent a year in the US as an exchange student, where I have met the big world. It was quite influential to me. For example, it has helped me to develop a democratic moderate political view, which would not be so easy in Eastern Europe. I started my university studies in Budapest where I'm part of a 60 person living community. It's a great bunch of people who have been quite important to me. I also met my girlfriend here, Lili, whom I have been dating since 2013. She is a medical student and she probably accompanies me when traveling. :)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Most people go traveling to experience a new place on earth, which is some way a different from the one they live in.  Most people also stay in hotels which pretty much isolates them from the people living in the area they want to explore. Quite a contradictory.  So In my opinion hotel rooms are jut boxes, and it is better to "think outside the box".

Tim Cahill phrases it much nicer than I do:

“A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles.”

It is also worth noting that as a student from Hungary I'm on quite a low budget. So without these opportunities like couchsurfing I could not get too far.  So I really appreciate anyone who volunteers to host couchsurfers.
