My girlfriend Lizzie and I are currently travelling in South America. We are both fortunate enough to have some time off work, and we'll hopefully be spending several months to a year travelling around the continent - which so far has been absolutely stunning and full of wonderful people and places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to talk to local people and find out what an area is genuinely about; everyone has a story and experiences to share, especially about a place or country in which they have grown up or live in.

Interests

Travelling - I'm really interested in hearing thoughts and opinions about the world from all around it. I've hitchhiked from the UK to Eastern Europe multiple times, and lots of other places in the world, and learnt a great deal from 100s of generous people. I would love this to continue!

I'm into music and sports, and both Lizzie and I play football to a pretty low standard - though we still love playing. We both love dogs and miss our black labrador, Leo, who is still in London.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently reading Game of Thrones for the first time, though it is an epic, and it's taking me a while! I don't normally read a lot of fantasy, however, and I'm more into popular fiction that touches on aspects of society. Or modern classics. I will often read non-fiction, too. Lizzie also reads lots; her favourite books recently have been 'Lessons in Chemistry' and 'Risk of Harm'.

I have an endless passion for music and will happily listen to many genres. But I especially love electronic music - when some fun and funky house is playing, I'm in my element!

We have been watching more TV than movies recently, including The Tourist (about an Irish guy who wakes up in Australia with no memory of who he is!) and The Crown (uncharacteristically 'British' for us!)

My all time favourite movie is Back to the Future, which I've seen too many times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once jumped out of a plane to fundraise for charity, which was incredible!

Current and previous travels are probably the most amazing things both of us have done.
