ABOUT ME
Hello All! I am a very easy going guy. Friendly, considerate, and responsible. Open minded, and am willing to help where I can.
Raised in Northern California and did college in Long Beach. Studied Industrial Design in college, and worked freelance as well as in the Experience and Exhibit Design industry where I designed auto show and trade show booth spaces and events. I like to spend time drawing or creating anything from cut and sew products to ceramic sculptures.
I drink a lot of water. I know how to rough it when needed, and can survive on very little. But if I could have one thing in particular it would be a clean pillow case.
I haven't done a huge amount of traveling, but I have been to Mexico a few times, Bahamas, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, Australia, and all through the state of California. I Took my first trip abroad to Sydney, Australia and Tasmania. It was a truly wonderful trip. I'm currently on a many-month cross-country road trip adventure!
Not a picky eater, and willing to try almost anything. Only things I really don't eat are yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese, and bananas. I love vegetables.
PHILOSOPHY
Smile more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Meeting new people and discussing new lifestyles and cultures is a huge bonus to traveling and meeting travelers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A close childhood friend of mine uses Couchsurfing a lot, and recommended it to me. As far as I know it can be a very cool experience, and a great way to meet people. He stayed at my house as a couch surfer, but more as a friend, for a week or so. I got to show him my territory, and hear about his experiences.
So far I have only surfed a couple times but I am really hoping that will change in the coming months as I continue my cross country exploration! My surfing times thus far have been excellent! Met great people and had some wonderful laughs and conversation.
Interests
Design and art, museums, experiential locations, things that make you awe at the world. I love automotive design and architecture. Yoga - and stretching as a whole, swimming, dancing - all forms, all places.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies; Clue, Black Swan, Death Becomes Her (and anything else with Meryl Streep), Kill Bill, Cruel Intentions, A League of Their Own, American Beauty, Baraka is incredible, lots of others...just ask.
Very eclectic with music. Electronica, classic rock, some hip hop, classical. Not a huge country music fan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first year at Burning Man (2009) was the most awe-striking and wonderful experience of my entire life.
The sense of community there was impressive to say the least. I have never been anywhere where I felt more welcome, and less fearful of approaching and hugging, a stranger.
I've since been four more times.
Teach, Learn, Share
I will teach you how to draw in perspective; how to stretch your body in ways that make your blood flow lovely; how to do a proper push up; and how to make a mean deviled egg.
I hope to share my outlook on life and learn other outlooks and wisdom.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendliness, cooking, cleaning, house work, yard work, sharing stories, yoga.
