About Me

Current mission:
Meet nice people, enjoy life, keep relaxed and happy :-)

ABOUT ME
To travel is to live, to explore, to breathe, to be active, to be alive.

I'm not shy, and I enjoy very much meeting people and sharing travel/ life experiences.
People usually describes me as energetic and curious, outgoing and comunicative, and ...talkative!!! ;-)
I'm Learning to be honest with Myself, and (therfore) with Others.
I try to do my best for being kind & respectful: both when I surf and when I host.
I think it's always nice to enjoy the pleasure of being part of the human community :-)

I like to feel like a teenager: discovering the life as it is - right now! enjoying to feel a free spirit, meeting new stories and experiences... I usually learn from them. Having this goal, I like to speak, to listen, to observe, to meet, to discover & to try to understand people.
In the past I used to engage myself in many different activities (even too much: sometimes I'm still hyperactive...). Maturing more experience, I took pleasure dedicating a bit more to myself, to my life & pleasures: wow! :-)

I found very healthy for myself do'nt drink alcohol (anymore), do'nt smoke, and eat mostly vegetarian: I feel much better now.

PHILOSOPHY

- Friends are like the stars: you can't always see them, but they're always there...

> IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT!(=everything is possible) - Enzo Ferrari, Modena (my hometown!).

> Faber est suae quisque fortunae. [Sallustius]

> ...and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. [Nelson Mandela (?)]

> πάντα ῥεῖ (panta rei òs potamòs): Nothing is forever [Eraclitòs]

> Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass: It's about learning to dance in the rain... !!!

> Jeder kann mehr als er selber meint zu können.

> !Levantate cada manana pensando que algo maravilloso va a suceder!

> On ne vit q'une fois: et c'est maintenant! Leb das Leben jeder Tag. Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

> Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer (Igor, my CS friend).

> Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones that you did.

> If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together" (African proverb)

> Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come throught you but not from you" (K.Gibran - The Prophet)

ooo OOO ooo

It's never too late to learn. And to change ourselves!
By traveling we meet very different people, and we can share different cultures, personalities, places, ways of life: great opportunities to learn!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host and I surf, I like to join CS meetings in my town and outside, even during travels.
When I offer my couch, I try to share a bit of time with you...I always learn a lot!

To discover the world, to speak languages, to meet new people, to listen interesting lifestories, it's always great for me! CS events were a great part of my opening to the world...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I managed a Bed&Breakfast during more than 10 years, since 2001, just for the pleasure of hosting and meeting at my home (I could'nt travel that time, so I decided that World could come to me...)

On June 2011 I moved from Nonantola (countryside near Modena) to the "big" city: I closed the B&B, and I joined CS, the "open-minded-people" community for free hospitality :-)

Since now, I hosted:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing travelling?
- Walking on the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, in the dry season of Zambezi river...
- Avoiding ice cracks on the Lys glacier (CH) at 4200m during a snow storm, climbing Mount Rosa to reach Queen Margherita mountainhut on the top at 4550m...
- Being CS hosted in Venice - old town- having breakfast & dinner on a wonderful roof terrace with wiew on SanMarco TowerBell (see references...)
- and many others...

During my crazy life? Falling in love with Monika (really amazing!) ..but was once upon a time!

Daily? Wake up every morning and start to play once more the game of life...

Teach, Learn, Share

It's up to you, to get what you need, from my quite rich past life... I usually open my life to people I meet: sharing time is the best way to learn (and teach) about life.
