i am adam..... i love life.. i am particularly passionate about the outdoors. a hotspring groupie who likes playing mountain man.. i enjoy my space and free time.. that is-I need lots of both.. I want to explore as much of the natural world as I can, as thoroughly as possible. While absorbing some cultural experiences and making great friends along the way.. I have spent the majority of my adult life training to be really good at having fun, under any circumstances and I like to think I've mastered the art.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can show you amazing places if you've got time for an adventure and your timing is right. I love seeing the childlike sense of wonderment on peoples faces when seeing a remote backcountry hotsprings for the first time, or running their first whitewater rapid or really any new and exciting experience. Some of the excitement and magic fades when i go to my favorite hotsprings for the 100 th time, but bringing someone new who has never experienced anything like it before and watching their excitement makes me appreciate and remember the initial magic of my first visit!

You can help inspire me to go on adventures, theres still all sorts of exciting adventures within a few hours of Bozeman and yet I tend to focus on big trips to far away places. sometimes overlooking the amazing beauty and wide array of adventures available in my backyard which is why i moved here.. so you can inspire me to get out and do things around here that i often overlook because i can do them anytime.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

well, i've couchsurfed, hitchiked and traveled my way through a place or two, and met alot of good people doing it. random people have helped me when in need, and i like to think i've done the same for others.

Interests

I enjoy mountain biking, skiing, whitewater rafting and river trips, sailing, camping (or rather living in the wilderness for extended periods of time) traveling, paddling, exploring, cliff jumping and going to beautiful high energy places and absorbing it. Also hunting, gardening, brewing beer and other forms of self sufficiency, learning new things, music, partying with friends(if I happen to be near civilization) and just having a damn good time always.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

sleeping in late some mornings is amazing, and then waking up and getting out of bed is amazing, and then drinking a delicious cup of coffee is amazing, i do like 3 amazing things before I even poop in the morning (which is pretty amazing too) so thats a very relative question.... Once, I bought a sailboat and sailed it from New York to the Caribbean, surviving crazy storms (like hurricane sandy), corrupt customs officials, human traffickers and drinking enough rum to kill a pirate (which i never did find) , oh and i've seen the green flash.

Teach, Learn, Share

well, i can teach people how to thrive in wilderness settings, and be self sufficient in many ways.... growing things, brewing beer..
oh and i can show you the most amazing hot springs you've ever imagined - (but only if you can keep the secret ones secret)
