ABOUT ME

I am easy going and I like to chat. i like to keep active and eat healthy. i juice veg everyday, enjoy deep conversation and I am spontaneous.
i try to life my life to the full!

PHILOSOPHY

my feelings towards life have changed recently. after spending time with people who lived with very little, it made me realise that life is about giving not receiving. I believe the more you give, the more you receive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

my hometown of Grimsby is a nice place but it is far from the tourist trail but if someone would like to see the town just let me know. it was once the biggest fishing town in the world! i have couchsurfed my way around south America and had the most amazing time there!

Interests

i love hiking especially in mountains, i also have a passion for sailing, i want to do more, one of my dreams is to sail accross the atlantic. i aspire to build my own cobb house so if anyone has experience in this i would appreciate advice.

Teach, Learn, Share

there is a buddhist village way up in the himalayan mountains, when one of the community dies the village faces a problem. they do not believe in burial and there are no trees or vegetation for a fire for cremation. the threat of spreading desease is high if they do not dispose of the body quickly but it has to be respectful and within thier religious beliefs. one non buddhist lives in the village he is widely respected and holds high status. he takes the body up to distant mountains where the village have a ceremony. He is left alone to chop up the body with an axe and knifes into small edible pieces, he proceeds to toss bits into the sky and the local vultures devour them. the village believes they help in the circle of life with thier remains feeding the vultures. they are completely at home in there enviroment close to the top of the world.
