Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfed in Europe in mid '08. Hosted in 2009. Surfed a lil bit in 2010...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had 4 lonely days with nothing to do in a small town in Spain. I turned to couchsurfing simply asking for friends and in 12 hours I had friends.. Couldn't ask for more! Stayed with many other fantastic people. Always blown away by the immediate trust that hosts had in me, and really want to give other people that feeling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2010 I went on a bicycle trip with a friend. We camped along the way, and didn't have riding clothes, so for most of it looked disheveled and homeless. In Charlotte, a man was walking around begging.. he asked me for money and when I said I didn't have enough to give him any, he looked up and saw what state my clothes and face were in, looked a bit shocked and then tried to hand ME $5. I said I didn't need HIS money, but just couldn't spare my own. He then insisted, saying he made over $100 a day doing what he did. A 2nd homeless person saw this happen and offered to take the gift that I turned down. The beggar was not so willing to give it to him though. A conversation ensued between the 3 of us over who should get the money.
Teach, Learn, Share
This is pretty specific.. but if you are considering learning a new language, send me a message with your email address and I will send you 1000 words of advice based on what I have learnt in my attempts at it, and hopefully save you some time.
EDIT: Quicker...Go here instead: http://www.effectivelanguagelearning.com/language-learning-tips
What I CAN teach you if we meet is some basic but useful Spanish in a fast and easy way.
