About Me

ABOUT ME

A psuedo-intellectual hippie who studies eastern philosophy and martial arts. I like being physically active, I love to travel, and I take pride in my easy-goingness. I am very much up for anything. If anybody has any suggestions of things to do or places to see or if you ever have an extra seat in a car for a road trip, let me know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been back in the US since September and have not been able to shake off the need to travel. I've fallen in love with backpacking. Seeing new places and meeting new people is one of my favorite hobbies and CS is an indispensable tool in this pursuit. I've still got a couple states I haven't seen and a whole lot of countries, but I'm slowly checking off the list.

As of Jan. 2017 I'm at 37/50 states

Interests

Rock climbing. I also play piano, saxophone, and drums. None of them well. I can recite nearly 1000 lines of poetry from memory. Interested in eastern philosophies. Love to discuss mine and opposing views. Very open-minded and up for almost anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent six months in China training martial arts and then spent another month backpacking my way home including some traveling around Thailand and hitchhiking from Los Angeles to Denver.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories of Southeast Asia and from many places in the United States. I am not very up to date with pop culture, but we can discuss books, poetry, politics, health, exercise, martial arts, meditation, or any topic really. I'm always eager to listen and to discuss.
