It's been ages since I've couch surfed!It was in 2016 when I spent 3 months traveling through the US + met so many amazing people! I still keep in touch with some of my hosts to this day!

Once I moved back to Aus, I wanted to host, however, my living situation/ housemates didn't really work for hosting unfortunately. Then finally when I had my own place + could host - COVID... and we all know about Melbourne, Australia and our lockdown...

Anyways, I'm back surfing again! NYC in early August 2024! And then onto Europe in September/ October. Hopefully meeting other creative people along the way!

A bit about me -
I'm a creative kinda guy. I love art, film, theatre, music, design + architecture. I tend to be shy and a bit stand offish at first, although once we've met + chatted a bit, I tend to open up.

I grew up in Cairns, Northern Queensland, Australia.

In 2013, I did the typical Aussie thing and moved to Vancouver, Canada. At 19 years old, after I finishing high school and lived there for a year.
In 2015 I moved to Toronto, Canada, lived there for two years, where I worked in Hospitality and traveled as much as I could before moving back to Australia in 2017.

During middle of 2016, I traveled the USA for 3 months, had my first solo experience with Couch Surfing + seeing all new cities, traveling alone. It was an amazing experience, seeing so much + meeting so many awesome people through CS. However, for the most part it was really lonely!

Once returning to Australia, I settled in Melbourne where I worked in hospitality for a good number of years whilst studying film production at university. My graduate film screened at Melbourne Queer Film Festival (+ a couple of other festivals). Let me know if you want to see it!

Fast forward to today, I still keep in touch with a couple of people I've met through couch surfing. I did a bit of traveling in 2023 and am back to it again this year for 3.5 months!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Growing up in a rural town in Northern Queensland, Australia, we don't see a lot of films being made. I have always loved film and the making of films and have always wanted to be in the film industry. However, living in a small town, that dream kind of gets put to the side and you think it'll never happen.

Fast forward to me living in Vancouver, BC and finding out its the second biggest film city, from LA, I got into background acting and was part of a few large budget films, working on set and feeling like I'm part of something big! I ended up in a few films, which was awesome! Also, made me realise that anything is possible regardless who you are + where you grew up!
