ABOUT ME

well, I was lost in traveling for a long time and still struggling the "social jet lag". Fed up with the live without higher purpose in europe I went out to the wide world to seek for personal balance and excelence. I am a trained engineer who was developing new kind of solar collectors and high end heating systems for households. Well, totally useless how it seems now so I would love to "downscale" my skills, upscale my passion and talk with people about self sustainability. Are we talking? ;-) Now I am back in Europe, tying to find a purpose in business but it seems that I am not capable anymore to work in creative slaughterhouses. Right now I am head of R&D of a industrial luminaire company, specializing on LED. Well, the field is quite ok but the post-communistic structures are everything else but "efficient". Always something to complain about, never stopping in evolving. :-)

Seriously, I am still a treveller. My philosophy is recreated every hour on my way through live. I would like to "philosoph" with you about that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined the network and participated by spending some time with interesting people so I could give back the joy of couchsurfing. Right now I am living in a very remote and touristy not so interesting place. It is near the bohemian paradise, which is beautyful but I have no car so you will need to take one of the two daily busses and walk another 2 km. Nevertheless, it is a nice and quiet place. From here it is about 2 hours to Prague by bus, IF you schedule it right...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent two nights with a nice guy in Vancouver. Headed further to Potrtland and learned that Portland is the Hipster capitol. It is so vibrant and interesting, always somebody coming up with something new BUT there is the down-side called "gentryfication". Well, every process is connected with some entropy, isn´t it? Headed further to San Francisco where I was comfy accomidated by Presidios´ bushes, woken up by the really polite SFPD and found refugee at an amazing carpenters place in Berkeley. This was amazing. I went from his couch (it was actually a tiny cabin in wild west style. GORGEOUS) to the Sierras where we build a tower in the woods. I love when people just start doing what they dream about.

Interests

Hiking and outdoors! I love to be connected with the nature. Paragliding, freeride MTB, surfing (beginner), kite surfing (beginner), rock climbing and so and so forth... While in town I like to check out the alleys and corners which are NOT on TripAdvisor. I am also a food junky. Give me the best food in the shabiest "dive".

well, nothing particular. Besides of tech-books, I dont read much... There is this amazing autobiography of Nicola Tesla which I am reading right now. Really startling, this guy was not a scientist but a prophet
