About Me

Hi, I'm an easy going guy from London who loves to get around. Over the past few years I've visited around 25 countries, 200+ cities and hitchhiked over 5,000km.

Back in 2015 I lived in Australia for year, adventured around the Balkans and Eastern Europe for 1.5 years until I finally came back to London in 2018, where I live with friends and work in programming. Now I have smaller adventures and try and get away when I can. Couchsurfing has always been a big part of my travels as it's brought me some of my closest friends - one of which I'm about to be best man for at his wedding!

I'm trying to gain an insight and understanding of what it's like to live and explore in your country (or new adopted home 😊). I thrive from meeting new and interesting people - I'd love to meet you!

It's always useful seeing what you have in common with other people on couchsurfing so here's a few things about me:

- Love hiking and walked 750km on the Camino de Santiago
- Cycled pretty much everyday for 5-6 years and then the Great Ocean Road in Australia.
- Studied physics and always happy to chat about how it all works 😉
- Food (need I say more? 😏)
- Trying (but very slowly) to learn Russian, turns out it's difficult!
- Usually can be found taking pictures of abandoned buildings and relics of past conflicts.

Sometimes I travel with my buddy from Bosnia who's a friendly 203cm giant; he's got a few stories for you too 😁

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet interesting people, learn about your country and explore. Make friends, share in each others' culture and maybe learn a little of your language?

You always learn and experience more staying with people - rather than hostels; I've made great friends through couchsurfing that I'm still in contact with years later. I can't wait to meet you!

Music, Movies, and Books

Where to start, a broad taste in music. From Betty Davis to Bach, The Commodores to The Commitments, John Lee Hooker to JME. Anything before 1990 but then I'm quite partial to Grime.

I've always loved film, I spent my school days watching everything I could get my hands on.

Until recently I always read non-fiction to learn as much as possible. But why limit yourself and deny the mind it's escapism?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked the Camino de Santiago (Camino del Norte), 750km across the north of Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share - stories like hiking and camping for weeks on end, falling through floors of abandoned buildings in the former Yugoslavia, and a small amount of gunfire.

Interesting conversations and sharing pretty much everything.

If you're learning English I'd be happy to practise with you.

Learn - I want to learn about your city, culture and importantly - you!

Teach - A little physics if you're up for it? How to make a magnificent fire with a magnesium block.

Advice on long-term travel and what it's like travelling on $3/day for a year.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Interesting conversation, travel stories and good company (so I've been told). I'll share with you everything that I've learnt from over two years of travel, like how to hitchhike in winter and travel for $1 a day.
