About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to make meaningful connections with people and learn the healing, musical and visual arts

ABOUT ME

I am half American and half Egyptian and I spent most of my childhood in Saudi Arabia. I've lived and thrived in different parts of the world and I have never learned more from anything other than travel. I love to show people around my hometown and always appreciate knowing a native anytime I go somewhere new. I'm friendly!

PHILOSOPHY

Take every chance to send out positivity, because it travels a long distance. Be good to people and take care of them and feed them, because we all need each other. Live healthy and be good to your body because it takes you great places and allows you to do amazing things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to this network, but I have been hosting people and being hosted by them for years. I learned hospitality from living in the Arabian desert, where it is an important part of the culture.

Interests

I love to do things that light up my right brain. Music, painting, cooking, dancing, anything with room for self expression and collaboration. Together we make a groovier song and tastier meal than on our own. Mother Nature amazes me and I love spending time exploring her. I grew up camping and hiking in the Arabian deserts and swimming and snorkeling in the Red and Mediterranean Seas.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Jazz, folk music from around the world, funk, motown, I'm turned on by music that has heart and soul.

Books: The Tao Te Ching of Lao-Tzu, Rumi, Khalil Gibran, Douglas Adams.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been blessed to see many people who are shy around instruments break-through and find their voices in music. When groups of people get together to make music and harmonize, they get a glimpse of the divine love that flows through everything and everyone.

Teach, Learn, Share

-Tea Tree oil helps make insect bites stop itching.
-Turmeric is really good for your insides and makes food a pretty yellow color, but too much takes over the flavour.
-Everyone can make music, but many people have been convinced otherwise.
-Don't let green tea steep for more than a couple minutes, or else it will become bitter. And don't use fully boiling water.
-Take some time to yourself everyday to feel gratitude and compassion for everything!
