About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet and explore while the days are still long

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly dude -- I like to think I get along with people of all kinds. (I hope that's true because I definitely love to meet new people, that is why I am on couchsurfing!)

I like to talk about deeply important and totally frivolous things with a lot of intensity. And I want to understand what things are like outside my neighborhood.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I hope to build the CS community by being the kind of cool, respectful, fun couchsurfer that makes you want to host more of us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been surfing since before the website. My friends host all the time and it's been super cool meeting the people passing through. I signed up last summer because I was going through Quebec and I had lots of fun.

Interests

When I'm procrastinating, I dream of travelling.

I think one of my greatest joys is meeting new people.

I like to bike.

My goal is to combine these three things together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to indie pop and top 40 music, a mix between the very popular stuff and the slightly obscure. Lately: LCD Soundsystem, Cut Copy, Sleigh Bells, ONE DIRECTION, etc.

Books: Historically I did not read books :) But I read two last year (Wonder Boys and Fortress of Solitude), a fact I am very proud of.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh there are so many things! I am easily excitable, so a lot come to mind. To name a few: driving through canyon country in Utah, blowing down a hill on my bicycle in the Pyrenees at who knows how many MPH, and getting lost alone on a tiny island in Japan at night. Even the last one turned out well, and it makes for a good story.

Teach, Learn, Share

Things I could teach you:
* Excessive knowledge of the New York City subway system and "old New York"
* Something about health economics, which is what I research. But if you could teach me something that'd be even better
* How to bike (if you are already good at biking, I can teach you how to bike more slowly and clumsily)

Countries I’ve Visited

Japan, South Korea, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
