About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel. Make stories. Impact lives.
ABOUT ME
I am a very happy person with a travelling addiction. I always look on the bright side of life and that's worked out well for me so far. Spontaneous adventures seem to find me where ever I go, so I have a lot of stories. I recently joined a non-profit and spent a year doing community service around the world.
I'm currently studying abroad for the second time in a row (why not?) and trying to take this opportunity to get to know as many new countries and cultures as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
“For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."
― Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only surfed so far, but I love it! I'm looking forward to hosting people eventually though!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed a couple times and have really enjoyed getting to know my hosts and learning about their cultures.
Interests
My two biggest passions are travel and community service. I love learning about different cultures and deep conversations. In my free time, I usually draw, read, watch movies, or play my ukulele.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies that make me think and anything by Christopher Nolan. - I listen to a VERY broad range of music. My iPod is known to jump from pop, to jazz, to Ethiopian rap, to Disney songs, to bossa nova, and a variety of other genres. - My favorite book is 'The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat' by Oliver Sacks. Constantly looking for new books to add to my reading list!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was fortunate enough to attend and present at the Rio +20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro in June 2012. The beauty of the city and the number of people that I met that were dedicated to changing the world was breathtaking.
I spent a day living with a family in the slums in the Philippines. They had next to nothing, but their generosity and happiness was inspiring.
Teach, Learn, Share
Languages, ukulele, travel tips, stories about a surprisingly luxurious bus in Slovakia, advice on how to survive a long-distance relationship, how to moonwalk,
