ABOUT ME
Currently studying and learning. Whilst I love this, my passion is for applied learning, especially when it comes to languages and cultures. For me, applied learning means seeing places, meeting new friends and trying to make the most of my time on earth.
I'm quite varied in my interests, although first and foremost I love learning languages and experiencing new cultures. Food, drink, friends, film, history, politics, music, photography, running, weights, F1, cooking are all things I enjoy, too.
Feel free to write to me :)

PHILOSOPHY
I strive to make the most of my time here, connect with people and to understand the world better. I neither believe the world is perfect nor become despondent with its problems; by bettering oneself one can make changes, make friendships and bring people together through positivity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted some travellers during my time in Kazan, and met some friends through CS. I enjoy hosting people and showing them around the best parts of the city, eating together, drinking together (sometimes :D).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- mainly rock/metal. Enjoy classical, jazz, house, and lots of bands from around the world.
Movies- love thrillers. Particularly love recent Latin American cinema (el Secreto en sus ojos, amores perros etc) and Akira Kurosawa. Love British films (Danny Boyle) and find anything with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in good. And anything with Arnie or Stallone is quite good to watch with a few beers ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Many places and people stand out, for different reasons. Travelling around Italy with a good friend aged 17, spending 7 weeks in China in 2010 with 40 amazing people, finding a homes in Kyiv and Kazan, travelling around Central Asia, and showing people around Kazan :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Whoever I meet, I love to learn their language, or to help them with theirs if I can :).
I try to incorporate cuisine from foreign cultures into my diet. If you can help me with this by teaching me how to make a dish from your culture, I'll be very grateful.
I also love photography, and would love some advise from people better-qualified than I am.
