About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body. But rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming .... WOW what a ride
ABOUT ME
I am trying to experience life (and extend my studies!) as much as I can, and have the amazing opportunity to study at the University of Granada, Spain. I am excited to live in a new country, and cannot wait to travel throughout Spain, as well as the thousands of other places I want to visit. I am from Santa Cruz: a place on the northern coast of California that I love very much, and a place that has made me fall in love with the beautiful world that we live in.
PHILOSOPHY
It is difficult to fit a philosophy in this space, but I can tell a story that influenced me greatly. It has to do with a man from Bosnia and Herzegovina. My family's car had broken down, and Bosnia and Herzegovina was one country that the rental agency forbid us from visiting in their car. This meant that we had no help, and we were in the middle of nowhere, in a completely helpless situation. The young local man came from a restaurant next door, and dedicated himself to helping us. He did everything he could, called everyone he could, gave us everything we needed, but most importantly gave us his entire day, while expecting nothing in return. I admire this person so much, and all the others around the world that give a piece of themselves to help others in need. Sometimes we get so caught up in our own lives, we forget to help one another. My philosophy in life...treat everyone that you meet like a brother, spend some time with them, because even a couple hours of your time is the best gift you could ever give.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life is too amazing to pick only one thing. I think the most amazing decision I have ever made was studying in Granada for a school year. The people I met during that time will be in my memories forever, and the experience has changed how I view the world.
