About Me
Hello,
I'm a 36-year-old Brazilian guy who very much enjoys traveling and meeting new people. I like to try anything once and love to break the routine. People say I'm smart, funny and sincere which has to be dosed very carefully in order not to turn those qualities into flaws.
I have spent several years of my life working and studying. I have a degree in Marketing and Business Management. I went to Law school but didn't graduate. I worked at many different jobs in a few different cities. They were all great experiences since each of them taught me something new.
I like to learn about new cultures and am very much attracted to things that are exotic or different than what I'm used to. It's a good way to train your tolerance, your mutual respect and to break down any prejudices or misconceptions you might have. Also, it can be really fun!
Just one thing I'd like the hosts to know since eating is probably the preferable way for people to socialize: I am a vegetarian, so if you cook pork chops or ribs for dinner I won't be able to join you. I don't mind if you cook this or that and I'll happily eat the side of vegetables.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To improve my chances of meeting fun lovely people and of going places where I have never been. I want to see and experiment more out of the world. I'm new to this, so still trying to figure it out.
Interests
I am very much into music, it's kind of an universal language, besides math, of course. I like all styles, it all depends on the mood. Big fan of concerts, I love a live musical performance. Also interested in arts in general, movies, photography, modern artwork, historical artwork.
My active side likes to run, bike, swim or pretty much anything that gets your heart rate up and your body sweating. Dancing is also pretty fun, although I suck at it.
I like watching sports. My favorite are soccer and basketball, but I can appreciate a good match from any competition. I'm also into card games and board games. I like competing and take any challenge seriously, even if it's Rock, Paper, Scissors or Monopoly. I'm in it to win!
I'm not very religious or political but I like to hear people's opinion about it, as long as they are respectful of other's opinion as well. I like to keep an open mind about all subjects and I'm always willing to change my opinion after a nice healthy discussion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm drawing a blank on this one. I have never performed heart surgery on a dying patient, discovered the cure for an illness or landed on the moon. But I did save 2 friends from drowning in the ocean, on separate occasions.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach someone how to speak English or Portuguese and how to play the guitar.
I would love to learn a new language or how to read sheet music.
I can share my life, my thoughts, my adventures and my sandwich with whomever is genuinely interested, and truly knows the meaning of the word "share".
What I Can Share with Hosts
Since the host is sharing his/her home with me, I believe it is only fair to share everything that I have and that could be useful to the host. People can share knowledge, experience, opinions, goals and food. "No one is so rich that has absolutely no need, and no one is so poor that has absolutely nothing to share."
