About Me

I'm an easy going guy who loves a good conversation. I love music (especially playing it with others), nature, beauty, walking, and just about anything that's outdoors. I've mellowed out in my "old age", I'm now a relax at home with a beer kinda man.

I hadn't been using CS for quite some time while I pursued my studies, but now I'm back! I'm currently halfway through a masters degree and decided to take some time off.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I vow to leave every person I meet with a smile on their face and their home in better condition than when I found it.

I couchsurf in order to have amazing experiences with the colorful and interesting people of the world! Hitchhiking has taught me over and over again that meeting the locals is the best way to travel anywhere.

Interests

I know I'm too old for it, but I love skateboarding. I should probably get into safer sports like croquet or knitting, but I just can't resist.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Brothers Karimozov
The "Mistborn Trilogy" by Brandon Sanderson is amazing.
History!! Especially, WWII and ancient Rome.
Lord of the Rings, movies or books.

Gladiator is a guilty pleasure of mine as far as movies go, as well as a lesser known film called "Babette's Feast".

Music that is chill, acoustic, ambient, whatever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving across Australia was by far one of the most bizarre experiences of my life. I slept in a three man tent with two burly Irish blokes for two months. We slept in farmers fields, beaches, national parks, trailer parks. We put 16,000 kilometers on the car in total. We travelled to every coast and visited Uluru in the center.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have pretty extensive experience with chronic pain and finding solutions for it. If you are a fellow sufferer we can journey together and share our experiences.

I can teach guitar to any who cares to learn. For any person who takes me onto your couch I will gladly teach any musical knowledge stored up their my ol noggin. The least I could give.

I want to learn about the things you enjoy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think that most of my friends would say that my greatest gift is simply the joy that I can share. I love being around people, and people usually love being around me!

I can share years worth of travel stories, my passion for music (I play guitar, piano, drums, tin whistle, tin can), and a quirky sense of humour.

I'm a semi-decent cook as long as its one of three meals and I'm excellent at doing dishes.
