About Me
Hey, I'm Adam, a curious human being that likes talking a lot. It's a pleasure for me to share with you my home in Berlin or enjoy your company during my solo travels.
I was born and raised in Poland, in 2016 I moved to Germany and I've been living in Berlin since then. I have a solid job as an engineer which leaves me a lot of time for hobbies and enjoying life. I like playing board games and have a small collection at home. If that's something you're into, I can bring some of them (smaller size) with me. I enjoy going to contemporary art museums and can easily spend there multiple hours contemplating the art works. In Berlin I'll have a few recommendations for you :) I also don't mind breaking into abandoned buildings if great street art is the reward.
I watch a lot of independent movies and truly believe that happy endings are overrated. I wish I could introduce you to Polish cinema, but you'd have to learn the language first (as it's almost impossible to find English subtitles). During Berlinale 2018 I watched 12 movies over 4 days and my head almost exploded. That said, I fall into the trap of Netflix series, too.
I read a lot. I don't collect books and give them away so the chances are that you'll get a book if you like it. Do you want to make me a gift? Recommend me a great book.
I enjoy Berlin techno scene and go clubbing regularly. You're welcome to join me!
During the summer I run outside, in the winter I run on a treadmill. I absolutely love biking and when the weather is nice that's my go-to way of travelling in the city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a traveller I'm mainly interested in understanding how people live in different sides of the world. I love to talk about daily life, food, public transport, spending free time, work situation, education system, politics, and history. I'm a good listener and any topic, where you know something and I don't, makes the conversation super interesting for me. I don't like typical tourist traps and as a Couchsurfing guest I need your help to avoid them.
As a Couchsurfing host I want to offer the same opportunity to people visiting Berlin. It's an amazing city with a lot of options. If your interests match my interests I can help you with picking the best ones for yourself.
