关于我

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world and stay newlyweds forever

ABOUT ME

Adar: I grew up in Ohio and went to Ohio State before moving out to California in search of warmer weather. While here, I found my ideal partner in Jeremy: someone who loves to cook (and eat!), travel around the world, talk about science, and enjoy the small pleasures in life (like sitting outside on our porch, drinking a glass of wine, and talking about our day). I have two half-sisters in Texas, a brother in Chicago, a twin sister in Ohio (yes, we look alike), and another sister in Ohio that was adopted from Russia. When I'm not at work, I enjoy running (I'm trying to run a marathon on all seven continents), doing anything outdoors, reading, trying new things, and of course traveling (24 countries and counting....).

Jeremy: I was born in San Diego, but I grew up in Austin, Texas (home to good music and even better BBQ). I came out to California to study engineering at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and later at UC Irvine where I met the lovely Adar. I'm an avid photographer (I'm starting my own photography business), chef (I enjoy trying new recipes and currently am obsessed with a book called "The Flavor Bible"), triathlete, and I enjoy any sport that involves wind. I have a brother who runs a dog ranch in Austin and another who is working as a chef in Seattle. Adar and I are always looking for ways to help out fellow travelers who are looking for local insights and good conversation.

After years of saving money and planning, we are finally on our around-the-world trip! This trip has been a dream of ours for a long time and is our honeymoon. We will be traveling from September 2010 to around June 2011. We hope to couchsurf in every country that we visit (Costa Rica, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Fiji).

PHILOSOPHY

Adar: Set goals and work towards them, but try not to get too caught up in planning for the future (because things rarely work out as planned).

Jeremy: Carpe diem.
