About Me

I am Adarsh, 24, residing in Tokyo. I love exploring places, living the nightlife, and enjoy experiences out of my comfort zone. I also love experimenting with photography, cooking ( I have been told that I am pretty good at it), and trekking.

The best thing that has ever happened to me was when I learned to explore places as a solo traveler. I have been to a lot of places, met a lot of new people and heard a lot of stories. Adventure keeps me alive, gets me pumped up and I have learned that life is the biggest adventure by itself and embraced it to the fullest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard that this place on the internet is filled with people who are either travelers or adventurers or people who want to meet new people and I feel I fit right in. I love to stay with people and understand their culture and also share life experiences. This is what a traveler would want and if this place is filled with all those sorts of people then, where else should I be? I am so psyched about this, I just can't wait to meet people, learn more about cultures from different parts of the world and hear stories from a part of their life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music has shaped the way I think and feel and has always been my go-to for an instant pick-me-up. I love melodious country songs from Ed Sheeran and Adele to EDMs from Marshmello to Tomorrowland. I love rap, especially Rap God, Love the Way You Lie and Monster.

I call myself a movie buff and I mostly prefer romantic, action and non-fiction.

My favs include:

Me before you,
Chef,
A family man,
The theory of everything,
Harley Davidson, Mark Felt The Man Who Brought Down The White House
and the list is never-ending.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While I was out on a stroll, I found a street dog that had swallowed something and was choking on it. I immediately rushed to it and found out that it had swallowed a small plastic piece. I instantly pulled it out of its mouth slowly so as to not cause it any harm and took it to a nearby pet shelter. I feel little deeds of kindness go a long way and was incredibly happy to help out in any way I possibly could. This might have been one of the most amazing moments in my life as it has given me a lot of satisfaction.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe the best way to learn is by listening, understanding and teaching. An interesting aspect of my college life is when I try to apply concepts practically. To understand these concepts properly, I like to teach it to my friends and classmates. Similarly, I love to talk, hear the perspective of other people and try to implement and pass on whatever I learn.
