About Me

Hi :))

I am half Polish, half English but have two citizenships - Polish and USA.

I’m a cheerful and friendly person and I enjoy hearing other people’slife stories and sharing mine! :)

I love to cook - my specialities are risotto, quiche and pea soup.
I’d say I’m a flexitarian which, in case you are unfamiliar with the term, means that I don’t eat meat much, except for the occasional steak :D Because I love steak!

Travelling is one of my biggest passions, I’m planning to go backpacking through Europe :) I’ve been to Hawaii, western USA, Mauritius, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco and a fair number of places in Europe, including France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and of course Poland, my home country! :) I’d love to go to South America and Canada at some point in the future!

I also enjoy reading fiction (mostly crime - big Agatha Christie fan) and psychology-related literature as well as travel literature.

Photography is another thing I find fun, I have an Olympus OMD E-M10 Mark II, if that means anything to you :D

I’ve done quite a lot of mountain hiking in Poland and Slovakia, and I adore a good board game.

I also like meditation and yoga and I’m learning o play the ukulele!

If I were to pick a philosophy it would be “Make peace, not war” :)) ❤️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
I am a huge fan of The Lumineers, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Vance Joy - they have this hippie -vanlife-road-trip vibe that I adore!

Hozier is also awesome, both for his lyrics and music.

Besides them I also enjoy Elvis Presley, old-timey music;) Dire Straits and The Cranberries are great too!

As you can see I’m having a hard time limiting myself haha, so much good music to go around!

Movies

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)
Moonrise Kingdom (2012)
❤️ Wes Anderson’s sense of aesthetics
Spy (2015) was insanely stupid but equally hilarious
O Brother, Where Art Thou (2000) - great storyline, amazing music

Pulp Fiction (1994)
Kingsman (2014)
Fight Club (1999)
Big Lebowski (1998)
Big Fish (2003)
Delivery Man (2013)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing my cat give birth to five kittens when I was about 8!
