About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just go for it, and then do it again.

ABOUT ME

Hmmm all about me,.. You mean ALL? I love eating fruit, my favourite colour is green, I can be really indecisive, I don't support McDonald's, I can only blink with my left eye, I haven't been 'home' in 26 months, I think to much, I love honest people, I don't litter, I never went to university went travelling instead, I dumpsterdive, Peter Pan is my favourite Disney movie, I lose track of time, I'm really bad with computers, I struggle to sit on chairs properly, I like to read...

PHILOSOPHY

'Wisest is who knows she does not know'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to travel around and see cities, cultures and countries through the eyes of the people actually living there. Instead of the tourist perspective and impersonal touch of hostels. Right now I'm heading to Australia to life and work there for a year, and as soon as I am set up, looking forward to helping people out with a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My Couchsurfing experience so far has been the most random one. As I landed in Jakarta Airport I was approached by a woman I didn't know and was asked 'Are you my friend?' I wasn't, but was more then willing. As it turned out she was a host waiting for a surfer, and was wondering if it was me. I ended up staying at her place together with the surfer. It was such a surprising act of welcoming and openness that I now want to be part of such a community.

Interests

My interests are forever piling up as I tend to grab little bits of wisdom from everything I like, but then the next thing comes up.. Bicycles, yoga, recycling, travelling, arts of any kind, Buddhism, random acts of kindness, philosophy, self-sustainability... And so on...
