ABOUT ME

Pretty much on a whim, I left San Francisco for Turkey and will have been in Istanbul over 3 weeks by the time I leave for Tel Aviv.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a progressive lefty that has a lot of respect for other people's perspectives. I'm a pragmatist first, but optimist as a close second. I strive to make the world a better place by being as present as possible to each human encounter; I seek to understand and be understood. I believe in the butterfly effect of kindness: a small act of compassion can lead a great deal of good some time in the future.

A CSurfer was on my couch before I even joined the community, so I guess it was fate.
