We both have a dream of traveling to places we've never seen before and meet new people from different cultures. Happily we found out about CS and we find this idea very interesting, thrilling and giving a chance to make our dreams come true.

Some time ago we took a career break and traveled around the world for a whole year. We wanted to see some of the most known and characteristic places, meet people from different cultures and taste food that we've never eaten before. And we made it ;)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

We really liked the idea of exchanging couches and experiences so we joined to contribute too.

During our trips we met many interesting people and we would like to meet more of them when we are back home.

Interessen

We're enjoying beautiful natural landscapes, trekking. We also like to do some amateur photography and filming so later on we can share our trip experiences with our family and friends.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Books: classics, some fantasy (any of Tolkien's, Lovecraft's or Sapkowski's works), horrors and thrillers (e.g. Stephen King, Lars Kepler), books about travelling.

Movies: that's a lot to talk about ;)

Music: We try to stay open-minded - we like whatever fits our mood or pleases us, but mostly blues or rock, sometimes something harder like metal and its subgenres.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

When opportunity came we decided to change all our life. In two weeks we sold most of our belongings, moved out from Poland to Spain, to live there for 6 months. After one year trip around the world, we came back to Poland for 3 months and we moved again - this time to Hamburg. We don't know for how long ;)

So far, during our RTW trip we managed to visit:
- Canada (canoed Lake Opeongo, seen a moose, smoked pipe with First Nations people and did lots of other stuff...)
- USA (visited NY, SF, National Parks, did some volunteering in Texas, seen New Orleans, Miami)
- Peru (classical 'gringo' trail: Lima - Cusco and surroundings - MP - Puerto Maldonado - Puno/Titikaka - Arequipa - Nazca/Ica/Paracas)
- Fiji (spent time with amazing people and took some rest on a beautiful Mana Island)
- New Zealand (seen sunset at Cape Reinga, walked into Hobbit hole, witnessed big ice fall at Fox glacier, watched dolphins surf the waves at Curio Bay, and lots of other things)
- Australia (visited extraordinary Tasmania, spent time in fantastic Sydney, relaxed a bit in Melbourne, felt the heat of the Red Centre)
- Thailand (enjoyed the food, seen too many temples, fell in love with the country and the people)
- Laos (cruised Mekong in a long boat, watched the sunset over Luang Prabang, fed moon bears in Free the Bears Rescue Center, wandered in Vat Phou temple in Champasak)
- Cambodia (visited amazing Angkor, took a crazy bamboo-train ride)
- Singapore (saw few great light shows, enjoyed cultural mix and great food, spent almost all day in Universal Studios)
- Viet Nam (fell in love with Sapa Valley, kayaking in Ha Long Bay, did our first spring rolls)

Lehren, lernen, teilen

We can share our knowledge about our interests (computers, photography, travelling). We can cook some traditional Polish cuisine (and other things too!). At the same time we're open to learn about local customs, history, cuisine and interesting places or any other new things.
