About Me

I find joy in curiosity and a taste for adventure.

Traveling and learning are my passions, and I'm always eager to meet new people, hear their stories, and share in their experiences.

Embracing challenges is how I continue to grow as a person, and I'm open to every opportunity that comes my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the heart of travel lies in connecting with local communities.

It's about embracing different viewpoints and forming genuine friendships along the journey.

I'm also eager to share my own cultural background while absorbing the rich tapestry of experiences others have to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Changes everytime!

Books about food: Aphrodite (Isabel Allende), A Thousand Recipes for Revenge (Beth Cato), Land of Milk and Honey (C Pam Zhang)

Composer of the month: Dvořák (Symphony No 7), Alberto Iglesias (currently listening to soundtrack from Ma Ma), or Django Reinhardt (goes well with a glass of peaty whisky)

Tell me an interesting quirky arthouse/independent movie and I'll find it, or some days I'll go on 2for1 cinema days to watch The Marvels :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My boss told me I'm disorganised so I left my job (a bit longer story than that) and planned, organised, and executed a long-distance hiking/pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago with my paw-some dog. We met lots of wonderful people, shared good and bad/difficult/challenging circumstances, overcome our fears (for my dog it's the cows, and there were plenty there), and we made it! And then we did it again!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook some delicious Indonesian dishes, such as nasi goreng (fried rice), rendang (spicy beef stew), and soto ayam (chicken soup).

I'm based in the UK now, so if you're Indonesian and visiting my city I'd be happy to show you around. You can update me on what's cool and happening in the country! Kalau bisa, tolong bawain oleh-oleh/bumbu2 masakan ya karena di sini susah carinya :) New Indonesian bands and movies to follow :)

My dog is very friendly and cuddly and a great therapy dog, hiking companion, travel companion.

When travelling, I’m always eager to learn new skills, knowledge and history of the local places.
